OM71321 is a synchronous buck converter with a wide input voltage range from 4.5V to 26V and can provide up to 2A output current. Adopt peak current control mode. Built-in soft start to prevent power surges.
The IC has built-in protection measures for output overvoltage, overheating and overload. After the protection is lifted, automatic recovery can be achieved. At the same time, the over-current protection function can prevent the device from overheating and possible thermal shutdown in the event of an output short circuit.
Entering pulse skipping mode under light load greatly improves efficiency. OM71321 also has a short-circuit protection function. When a short-circuit occurs, in addition to over-current protection, it will also increase the off-time through frequency reduction.
The converter operates at a constant 560kHz switching frequency, effectively mitigating electromagnetic interference (EMI) and noise interference. Fixed peak current detection in light load pulse skipping mode to optimize efficiency under light load conditions and for use in specific fault scenarios.
The OM71321 integrates the MOSFETs and employs the TSOT-23-6 package.
