The OM70101WV is a voltage type, ultra-compact, low-cost, system-side/pack-side, fuel gauging system IC for Lithium-ion (Li+) based batteries suitable for portable wearable devices.
The OM70101WV includes a low-power 14-bits Sigma-Delta ADC, a precision reference voltage and built-in NTC bias circuits. It continuously monitors battery voltage, current and temperature parameters. It can continuously monitor battery voltage, current, and temperature, and calculate the state of charge (SOC) of the battery through a patented SOC algorithm, accurately estimating the remaining battery capacity.
The OM70101WV provides flexible interrupt selection for users to timely grasp the status of the battery. Interrupt sources include changes in battery level, low battery level, high temperature, and low temperature.
The OM70101WV also uses a 2-wire I2C compatible serial interface and can operate in standard mode or fast mode.
The IC is available in a 1.538×1.538mm lead-free 9-ball WLCSP package.
